My photos
Page updated 1-8-08

I enjoy taking photos, mostly of my wife, Karen, and our three dogs. Karen is into "Creative Memories", which is scrap-booking, also called cropping. I will be posting some of my decent photos on this page. Most will be of the Peoria area, so if you are new to the area or relocating, you may find a new interesting place to visit. Feel free to call or e:mail me for directions or more info. Hope you enjoy them!
Stone Church Road, off Farmington Road

I just think this is a beautiful old building. The right side was spray painted a couple of years ago by vandals, but looks great now.
Peoria Chiefs/O'Brien Field

I'm not a baseball fan, but O'Brien field is definitely worth checking out. The Chiefs won their league in 2002, and the cheap seats were only 5 bucks. Great new stadium and enjoyable family entertainment.

Banner Marsh is less than 30 minutes from downtown Peoria off Rt 24, by Glasford. Hundreds of acres of reclaimed coal strip mines with excellent fishing and trails to hike or bike. Abundant wildlife: geese, ducks and other water birds, hawks, deer, and more.
"Sod" farming

A tractor and attachment to harvest sod. This farm is adjacent to the East side of Jubilee park. I had always wondered about the purpose of the large, almost golf-course groomed areas in the middle of the woods until I found this scene recently. The pond is also at the sod farm.
Happy Trails

Photos at Jubilee Park off Route 150 just 10 miles West of Peoria.

Bradley vs Butler, Dec 2003

My wife Karen was lucky enough to take this decent shot in March, 2005 at Jubilee State Park.
January 2008
We visited the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. My favorite part was the 250 foot U boat! Here is Karen with a Stormtrooper at their Star Wars technology exhibit.

Yes, this is in Illinois!
This is at the Garden of the Gods in Southern Illinois' Shawnee National Forest. Did you spot the guy near the top?
